Engineering after ACE

From the ACE Mentor Program of Baltimore…….Reflecting on recent events in the news, I think of a quote from the mother of Fred Rodgers, of Mr. Rodger’s Neighborhood, whenever he saw something scary as a child:“Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.”To make a long story short, I am glad that when I look around, I see ACE Mentors taking time out of their day to enrich the lives of young people who are seeking understanding of themselves and their world.Whether you have mentored students, donated funds, or championed the ACE name in a crowd, thank you for making sure that our students have the opportunity to better themselves in safe, fair, and impartial learning environments. They appreciate you!To demonstrate that appreciation, an alumnus of ACE has went out of her way to show program’s impact on her, and she has allowed me to share that with you.Emma, Class of ’17Emma Gordy, won a scholarship from her participation with the Redeemer Classical Christian School team (’16 – ’17), and is now at the University of Maryland studying Engineering. She has begun to document her experience as a Freshman on her website “Engineering After ACE” and I encourage you to check it out! Emma would love to connect with mentors and fellow alumni. Keep on helping!Darius JohnsonAffiliate Director
